Sales Process Definition
Sales Process definition is a useful way of mapping out all the steps, actions and skills required to take a sale from beginning to close.
The ITD approach is to define a sales process for your business which is flexible enough to include all the various types of sale and simple enough to be a useful business tool.
This sales process is typically used by sales and sales management as a reminder of what not to forget and as a performance management tool.
A sales process might include all the major milestones a sale should complete to end in a successful close. It may also define all the information required at each step, the actions to establish this information and the skills involved to perform each action successfully. It can also include Go / No Go statements, where if a step is not successfully achieved the sale does not go ahead.
