The Entrepreneurial Client

Why should we consider training on the entrepreneurial client?

Because the client who is an entrepreneur is quite a different beast to most lawyers.

The entrepreneur takes risks; likes to push the boundaries of what is achievable; is very business savvy not necessarily technically savvy; and sees the world in a different way.

When we understand the entrepreneur, we can do business more easily with them.

The entrepreneur's world - the ITD approach

This workshop can cover a range of topics depending on the typical clients or strategic direction of your firm. Typically we would include a business game which gives lawyers the opportunity to be an entrepreneur and make decisions about a range of areas in running a business.

CASE STUDY

A client wanted a particular team to increase their understanding of entrepreneurial clients. This was so that they could better service the clients needs as well as identify opportunities for cross selling.

We discussed the kind of entrepreneurs the clients were. We developed a workshop which was highly interactive. It included the participants having to analyse their clients before the session.

During the training a business game allowed the participants to become entrepreneurs and compete in a business environment.

The session also included a small amount of financial awareness taken from articles in that day's Financial Times.

The result were fascinating:

1. The participants said that they had discovered things about their clients they had not realised and would be unlikely to previously

2. The participants really enjoyed and valued the training as they said it was informative but great fun

This development of finance training can be totally adapted and designed according to the needs of your firm..
