Developing the Team
Employee empowerment is one way of distributing the leadership in a team. Critical with employee empowerment is to give clear guiding principles on the boundaries of the empowerment.
It can be the case that when a manager wants to empower they give instructions. But employee empowerment can also be more about the team wanting and taking the initiative. So we may have to give less and allow more. Inspire the team to think of their own solutions, allow them to try and sometimes fail.
